WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?

You want to wear light, loose, comfortable clothing that you can move in. Bring an extra layer for the start and end of the class. Yoga is practiced in bare feet, but socks can be put on for relaxation. You can be bare foot or wear socks or ballet shoes barre class. Non slip yoga socks can also be worn for both yoga and barre class.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING ELSE WITH ME?

You will need a mat to practice on for yoga. You might also like to bring any other yoga props like straps or blocks if you use them, but don’t worry if you don’t, as I am able to adapt the poses to suit. A blanket or jumper for relaxation. We will use chairs as a barre. You might also like to bring some water.

CAN I EAT BEFORE CLASS?

As with most forms of exercise, it is advised that you don’t eat a large meal 2 – 3 hours before class. A snack an hour or so beforehand is fine.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes before the start of class to get settled and ready. If you are running late, please enter quietly. If class is still and quiet/in meditation, please wait for a suitable moment to enter.

I HAVE AN INJURY OR HEALTH CONDITION. CAN I STILL TAKE PART?


Yoga is accessible for everyone, but not all yoga classes or yoga poses are suitable for all. Within all classes poses can be modified to individual needs, but some classes are more dynamic than others. Barre requires a level of balance and fitness. Please contact me to discuss any concerns you have, and together we can make sure you choose the right class for you.
